Thank you

Really was an amazing trip.
Goodbye California.

Thank you Serra, Mahm, Jack, Doug, everyone,  for being so kind, for doing so much, for being who you all are, for everything.

Extras

Last few pictures that didn't fit any other group.

Yosemite extra gallery. A few pictures from the other small sequoia grove including another tunnel tree. LINK

California extras gallery. Last few pictures from my trip back through central valley and San Francisco. Including this light painting in yellow green and blue which may be my favorite picture of the whole trip.     LINK

Panorama Trail. Yosemite

After taking a very early bus up to glacier point i followed the Panorama trail joining the mist trail all the way back to the valley floor.

Panorama trail gallery 1 Glacier point and down towards Nevada falls LINK

Panorama trail gallery 2 From the top of Nevada to the top of Vernal falls     LINK

Panorama trail gallery 3. Vernal falls rainbows in the mist.     LINK

Panorama trail gallery 4. Rainbows heading away from Vernal falls.     LINK

Panorama trail gallery 5. Heading away from Vernal falls back down into the valley. LINK

Wowona and the Maraposa grove

The only way to get to see the giant Sequoias from Yosemite valley without a car was to take the grand tour.

Wowona gallery. Just before getting to the trees a stop of at the Wowona hotel and the Pioneer Yosemite history center. I was lucky enough to be on the covered bridge just as a group of riders returned across it.

Mariposa grove gallery 1 almost of these pictures are taken from the little road train that the tour takes you on around the grove. Ideally I'd have spend a long time here just wondering among the trees.

Mariposa grove gallery 2. The problem i think is there little sense of scale in many of these pictures unless I've manged to get a tiny person looking at at the tree, but believe me they really are amazingly huge! LINK

Yosemite Waterfalls

2 gallery's of being very lucky, most years there isnt any water falling over these 2 in August.

Yosemite falls gallery. I did hike to the top of the falls but found all the better pictures were to be taken from the bottom. LINK

Bridalveil falls gallery. The good thing about having this little water flowing over is that you can really see how it got its name, you can even see the veil begin to turn up. LINK

Yosemite Valley

I'm going to split the posts up a bit and separate out different areas to make it a bit more simple to navigate because it seems like the gallery's for me at least are taking quite a while to load.

To begin 2 gallery's of pictures taken from the valley floor.

Yosemite valley gallery 1. Including the Native American village recreation and some beautiful tree bark.

Yosemite valley gallery 2. Including meadows, tunnel view and a bear!!

These are looking back at Santa Barbara from Stearns wharf, you know i wondered after my first visit if a really loved California because id heard so much about it i was now filling in pictures to go with stories, but no now i think i just really love Santa Barbara and California as a whole.

Hereford Cathedral

Home of amazing map Mappa Mundi and libarary of chained book felt very D'ni.
But alas no pictures were allowed of either of those so i had to make do with pictures of the Cathedral itself.
Loved the modern stained glass window, usually i always feel modern stained glass feels very angular and cold, but this was quite the opposite telling its story in a fantastical way.

Paradise cottage

This is the cottage we stayed in on our trip to Herefordshire.
Along half a mile of its on track into a little wood totally secluded and quiet little 17th century cottage.
